The Great Cloud of Witnesses
By Mark Roth on April 30, 2008 at 9:57 am
This book is about faith as it is explained and illustrated to us in Hebrews 11. It is not intended to be merely a history book about great men and women of the past. Rather it is to be like the opening chapters of a book that will never be quite finished until the Lord returns.
A book about faith becomes a book about God because He tells us very simply and clearly that faith is the link between Himself and us. Without faith we cannot know or please Him.
These examples of faith, capped by the perfect example of our Lord Jesus Christ, are set before us to stimulate our faith. They call us to a life of self-abandonment and commitment to our great God. What He did for them, He still wants to do today.
