The Russian Mennonites
By Mark Roth on April 9, 2009 at 12:52 pm
The story of the Russian Mennonites is summarized in this book for the student of church history who may not be well informed about their origin and migrations. The twentieth century brought great suffering to the Mennonites in Russia. The Communist Revolution of 1917 initiated sweeping changes, which brought life as they had known it to an end. Sympathy for their plight caused the American Mennonites to organize the Mennonite Central Committee to send relief to these people who were caught in the ravages of war, famine, and disease. Through it all, God has spared a faithful remnant.
