Economics is a subject concerning the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. Everyone is related to and affected by the outworking of this process.

Many of the parables and teachings of Christ deal with attitudes and actions involving finances. The Scriptures declare that "godliness with contentment is great gain" but that "the love of money is the root of all evil" (1 Timothy 6:6, 10). Christians are called to "lay up...treasures in heaven" (Matthew 6:20).

The lessons in this study are designed with an emphasis on Bible principles. Each lesson begins with a collection of Scriptures to Study and includes marginal references for further reading. The study questions are based on the Lesson Discussion. A number of charts are printed in the back of the book for the purpose of illustration.

A youth audience was in focus in the writing of this booklet.
